1st & 2nd shift Production Positions

We have job opportunities throughout our plant!

Door Prep / Quality Check (1st shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and complete work according to the work schedule
  • Prepare unfinished wood cabinet door orders for the Finishing process
  • Verify dimensions and check the quality to ensure adherence to specifications and work order
  • Putty, trim, sand, or scrape surfaces of product as needed
  • Ensure door jobs are complete including; doors, moldings, veneers, plywoods, and solid stock
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of cabinet doors
  • Must have good math skills and be able to read various measurements on paperwork and tape measure
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Organized

Door Assembler (1st & 2nd shift)

  • Assemble and fit wood frame parts and panel pieces to form cabinet doors and drawer fronts
  • Use table saws and other various woodworking machinery
  • $2.00 / hour shift premium for 2nd shift positions

Finish Sprayer (1st & 2nd shift) :

  • Use a spray gun to apply stain, sealer, or topcoat to cabinet and door products
  • Spray and wipe finishing stain onto and into wood grain
  • Produce a high-quality paint finish on a variety of materials
  • Use sandpaper and other instruments to sand rough spots and to rub stain into the grain
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Organized

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience with finishing materials and spray equipment preferred
  • Ability to match or detect differences between colors. This includes shades, colors, and brightness

Work hours vary depending on workload:
1st shift: Monday – Thursday: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm and Friday 6:00 am – noon
2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 12:00 am and Friday Noon – 6:00 pm

Office Positions

Production Scheduler/Planner

We are looking for a qualified Production Scheduler to organize production according to demand and shop status. This candidate will be the one to ensure our projects are scheduled, produced, and processed in a timely manner. An excellent Production Scheduler candidate has a strong regard for product quality standards. They are organized, detail oriented, technical, and results-driven with great problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, print, process, and manage production schedules
  • Plan, monitor, and prioritize orders throughout production to meet customer deadlines
  • Communicate production status updates to management, customer service representatives, production departments, and sales
  • Schedule orders, generate machine files, print paperwork, create cut bills, and coordinate production workflow for all doors and wood components
  • Ensure accuracy of orders before releasing to the shop floor
  • Make recommendations for optimizing production processes and procedures to improve work flow
  • Assist supervisor leads in scheduling shift hours according to production needs in specific departments
  • Monitor inventory of goods
  • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability
  • Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules for special order items or materials
  • Compile status and performance reports through our ERP system
  • Utilize CabinetVision for order entry and processing
  • Generate drawings/sketches for production and coordinating with machines and verify we can manufacture the product
  • Attend production/office meetings to keep communication lines open

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical ability to communicate with customers
  • Math skills–ability to determine parts and pieces needed for special items
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field
  • CAD skills/experience
  • ERP system experience
  • Proven experience working as a Production Planner or Scheduler
  • Manufacturing experience
