OFFICE: Sales / Project Manager

Job Overview:

Valley Cabinet is seeking an individual to serve as our full-time Sales/Project Manager to support job site cabinetry activities serving our customers in the Northeast WI Area. This individual will report to our main office, in De Pere, WI on a daily basis. You will need to be able to work in a team environment and create strong relationships with home builders, contractors, sub-contractors, cabinet designers, engineering staff, and customers in new home and remodel construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain existing builder & customer accounts
  • Complete detailed field measuring
  • Manage job site needs for subcontractors; ie layouts, framing, locations for electrical and plumbing fixtures, etc.
  • Meet with customers onsite to discuss remodels and determine layouts
  • Work with cabinetry software (Cabinet Vision) to prepare final papers for manufacturing
  • Work Trade and/or Home Shows
  • Extensive travel with flexible work schedule and the possibility of working occasionally on evenings and weekends
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Specifications:

  • Experience in cabinetry and/or construction industry required
  • Cabinetry design and construction knowledge preferred
  • Detailed oriented

Office: Customer Service Representative (Valley Custom Door Division)

Job Overview: Valley Custom Door is seeking a talented, highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team! We are looking for an individual who can confidently communicate technical product support regarding our custom door orders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Gain knowledge of products and manufacturing process
  • Determine correct product based off customer’s custom order requests
  • Provide technical product information and pricing to customer
  • Process orders from quote through to shipping and invoicing
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner
  • Provide solutions by answering and discussing alternate product options
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Data entry
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • 1 year customer service experience required
  • 3 years office experience preferred
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Experience in cabinet or manufacturing industry preferred
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere

1st & 2nd shift Production Positions

Work hours vary depending on workload:
1st shift: Monday – Thursday: 5:30 am – 3:30 pm and Friday 5:30 am – 2:30pm
2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 3:30 pm – 1:30 am and Friday 2:30pm – 9:30 pm

 


 

Door Prep / Quality Check (1st shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and complete work according to the work schedule
  • Prepare unfinished wood cabinet door orders for the Finishing process
  • Verify dimensions and check the quality to ensure adherence to specifications and work order
  • Putty, trim, sand, or scrape surfaces of product as needed
  • Ensure door jobs are complete including; doors, moldings, veneers, plywoods, and solid stock
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of cabinet doors
  • Must have good math skills and be able to read various measurements on paperwork and tape measure
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Organized

 

Door Assembler (1st or 2nd shift)

  • Assemble and fit wood frame parts and panel pieces to form cabinet doors and drawer fronts
  • Use table saws and other various woodworking machinery
  • $2.00 / hour shift premium for 2nd shift positions
  • Organize and complete work according to the work schedule
  • Assemble and fit wood frame parts and panel pieces to form cabinet doors and drawer fronts.
  • Verify dimensions and check the quality to ensure adherence to specifications and work order
  • Putty, trim, sand, or scrape surfaces of product as needed
  • Ensure door jobs are complete including; doors, moldings, veneers, plywood’s, and solid stock
  • Use of table saws and other various woodworking machinery.
  • The ability to read and interpret work orders
  • Utilize a tape measure to read measurements accurately and use fundamental math skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Cabinet Installer (1st Shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret shop drawings and paperwork
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Travel to job sites and install various size cabinetry fixtures, moldings, and hardware using carpentry tools and wood working machines.
  • Measure and mark for product installation
  • Trim, cut, fill, seal, and level during installation
  • Perform various hanging, adjusting, and fastening tasks to complete installation work.
  • Carrying and raise cabinets and materials, overhead or floor level work.
  • Safely operate various pieces of equipment and tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and quality minded
  • Must be able to positively interact with management, production personnel, and customers
  • Previous cabinet building and/or installation experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Meet company driver qualifications and standards
  • Physical strength and the capacity to bear substantial weights are necessary for loading and unloading

Job Type: Full-time

Edge Bander Machine Operator (1st or 2nd shift) |   Starting pay of $18.86

Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation of the Edge Bander
  • Set up and operate the machine in accordance to established procedures and guidelines
  • Read and interpret production paperwork to select and sort parts
  • Manually load and unload parts to and from machine
  • Organize and complete daily work following the schedule
  • Perform minor routine machine maintenance
  • Back up and helper to the Dowel Inserter, Panel Saw, and CNC
  • Create stack lists. Pull and ready stack list materials for Panel Saw
  • Operate fork lift. (Training provided, if needed)
  • Move carts of finished product to next production destination and retrieve empty carts
  • Housekeeping; sweep and pick up debris over, around, and under machine area
  • Other duties as assigned

Able to lift 50 pounds and work on their feet, while using tools, hands, and arms to perform repetitive actions

Custom Finishing Team (2nd Shift)    Starting Pay $17.50/hr

We are looking for a hard-working individual to be a part of our Finishing Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use a spray gun to apply stain, sealer, or topcoat to cabinet and door products
  • Spray and wipe finishing stain onto and into wood grain
  • Produce a high-quality paint finish on a variety of materials
  • Use sandpaper and other instruments to sand rough spots and to rub stain into the grain
  • Maintain quality standards on all products
  • Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of every project
  • Clean and maintain spray gun and equipment
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience with finishing materials and spray equipment preferred
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Ability to match or detect differences between colors. This includes shades, colors, and brightness
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Stand in an upright position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to grasp and manipulate trigger on spray gun
  • Pick up objects by hand and/or raise and lower objects from one level to another regularly of materials weighing greater than five pounds

2nd Shift Panel Saw Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation of the Panel Saw
  • Organize and complete daily work following the schedule
  • Set up and operate the machine in accordance to established procedures and guidelines
  • Read and interpret production paperwork to select, position, and secure machine.
  • Manually load and unload plywood sheets to Panel Saw for sizing panel pieces for shop production
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Careful inspection of the product
  • Perform minor routine machine maintenance
  • Back up and helper to the Edge Bander and CNC
  • Operate fork lift. (Training provided, if needed)
  • Housekeeping; sweep and pick up debris over, around, and under machine area
  • Other duties as assigned
