THE SECRET TO A GREAT FINISH

Though our process is proprietary, there is no secret to what makes a great finish - over 60+ years of experience!

There are no shortcuts in a premium finish - excellence in preparations, finishes, process and an experienced team of application specialists.  Valley Cabinet continues to invest in technologies and innovations in finishing as well as in our finishing team to provide consistency, durability and beauty in all of our finished products.

The Valley Cabinet Finish

The quality of a finish is first judged by what it is applied to.  We start with a well designed product, that is perfected by a well designed process.  Material preparations for finishes happen at numerous points through the construction process: we sand, we sand again, then we sand between coats to obtain our signature smooth finishes.  We continue to invest in equipment and techniques that provide the look and feel that your clients desire.

Only high-solids quality sealers, stains, glazes, paints and top coats are used to maximize color uniformity and durability providing the best protection from aging, scuffs, dents and moisture.

Stains are hand applied for even tones and coverage.

Ovens are utilized for a controlled cured finish between coats.

Each part is hand sanded to create smooth, consistent surfaces in preparation for the final topcoat application.

Stains & glazes, high-solids wood sealers, paints and top coats are applied for color consistency, durability and of course for an amazing appearance.

We continue to invest in the industry’s leading equipment, but machines alone can not create our finishes.  We rely on the talents and experience of our application specialists – with an eye on detail, it is the knowledge and artistic skills of interacting with the variety of variables that impact the integrity of a finish that make all the difference.

Signature Details

The finishes you apply to your Valley Cabinet cabinetry can be enhanced with one of our Signature Details. These details are designed to give your cabinetry the characteristics of a “long life-well used” appearance.

As these details are hand applied and are artistic in nature, the appearance is unique to each piece it is applied to. NO TWO PIECES WILL APPEAR ALIKE. Valley Cabinet highly recommends viewing a sample door of the wood and finish of your project to give you an idea of how these details will appear on your cabinetry.
